4D Virtual Lab

3D VIRTUAL TOURS

The virtual tours produced by 4D Virtual Lab have the possibility of including descriptions with points of interest as well as other types of metadata such as video, photography, audio, text, 3D models, maps, files, and calendars.
Since meta tags can contain any type of link, they can be used on any existing page or even linking pages of interest. The development of this tool promotes access to all those who for very varied reasons do not have the possibility to visit the physical site as well as those who are interested in the heritage and historical content of it, making it a tool of great pedagogical value for educators, students, and the public. In addition to all the cases previously described, this can also be used as an excellent tool to support digital marketing so virtual tours can be added on the web through html code or simply with URL electronic address, making it possible to advertise on social networks, as well as web pages and newsletters.
Digital access is important not only for displaying the elements mentioned above, but also for promoting them themselves. This also provides immediate internationalisation of the space since it can be accessed from many devices across the globe.

Technical characteristics and features of the Virtual Tour

– Class 1 Laser
– 0.5m – 100m operating range

360 Photo Capture with Lidar Scan

With a 360 Photo Capture paired with Lidar Scanning we can create Metatags
with precise positioning so we can better illustrate the space’s contents

3D Model Navigation

– A 3D model of the space captured with the Lidar Scan to get a better  understanding of the space as well as a novel way of navigating to points of
interest

Metatags

– Metatags are interactive information points and can be placed precisely to better illustrate the tour and can contain a wide variety of metadata (EX: text, audio, video, forms, maps, other tours, 360 photo and video, files, 3D models,

– Possibility to insert 3D models and video that stays in a fixed location while navigating the tour. Since the Virtual tour was made with the Lidar Scan we can incorporate 3D models that are fixed in the tour space as we move from scan to scan. There is also the possibility to include video with trigger or autoplay that is also fixed in the virtual space. This creates a unique and immersive experience
